William Collyn Community Centre
The William Collyn Community Centre provides an excellent space right at the heart of the Village, for use by a wide range of community groups and individuals.
It has been named the William Collyn Centre after the founding benefactor of the predecessors to the current charity who date back to 1521.
With excellent ‘green’ credentials, the facility is heated with an Air Source Heat Pump, in addition to having photovoltaic solar panels installed on the roof and a Stormcell system to manage surface water run-off into the local drainage.
The Gordon Hall has been fitted with a high-quality sound system, data projector and screen as well as upgradeable hearing loops. Accessibility is also top of the agenda, to ensure everyone can use the facility.
The William Collyn Centre is open seven days per week and run by a dedicated Centre Manager. Telephone 01223 279587. www.williamcollyn.co.uk
