First Babysitting Course is a success

Girton Town Charity is supporting a new ten-week Babysitting Course, organised by the Connections Bus Project and open to Village residents aged 14-17 years. The first course has now been completed – and received very positive feedback from participants.

The sessions covered such topics as: what makes a good babysitter, the law and what we expect, building effective relationships and learning, listening and communication skills.

Dovehouse Court wins RIBA Award

A further award has been given to the almshouses at Dovehouse Court for their inspirational design and excellent sustainability credentials – the  first in the UK to fully conform to certified Passivhaus standards.

The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) East Award was presented to Mole Architects, designers of the ground-breaking homes, at a ceremony held in Norwich which honoured 14 winning projects across the East of England.

Royal Visit to Dovehouse Court
