Almshouses for the future

GTC was singled out to showcase its new development of 15 futureproof homes for the over 55s, as part of a regional meeting for more than 30 almshouse professionals from across East Anglia. After a meeting at the William Collyn Community Centre, they visited Dovehouse Court to see at first hand the energy-efficient almshouses already occupied and enjoyed by residents.

Village pays tribute as Robin retires

A celebration with GTC Trustees and colleagues was held to recognise Dr Robin Hiley who had completed 25 years’ voluntary service with the Charity, during which time he was instrumental in seeing through a range of important and inspired initiatives to improve life for the residents of Girton.
 
At the event, Robin was presented with a sculpture of a Girton Goose made by Cambridge-born Matthew Lane Sanderson who created the Village’s Sculpture Railings.
