15 Jun 2024 Girton Town Charity was delighted to be chosen to host a royal visit on 13th June when HRH The Duke of Gloucester, who is Vice Royal Patron of the Almshouse Association, visited Dovehouse Court. 8 Jun 2024 In Girton Town Charity’s office at Dovehouse Court, there’s a team of people to offer assistance and advice to almshouse residents and villagers requiring advice on schemes and grants. Here we meet them and outline some of the ways they could help you. 1 Apr 2024 Girton Town Charity’s new almshouses at Dovehouse Court were recently given the accolade of ‘Highly Commended’ in the 2024 Greater Cambridge Design and Construction Awards, run by the Cambridge Forum for the Construction Industry (CFCI), and held at Pembroke College. 2 Jan 2024 GTC was singled out to showcase its new development of 15 futureproof homes for the over 55s, as part of a regional meeting for more than 30 almshouse professionals from across East Anglia. After a meeting at the William Collyn Community Centre, they visited Dovehouse Court to see at first hand the energy-efficient almshouses already occupied and enjoyed by residents. 2 Jan 2024 A celebration with GTC Trustees and colleagues was held to recognise Dr Robin Hiley who had completed 25 years’ voluntary service with the Charity, during which time he was instrumental in seeing through a range of important and inspired initiatives to improve life for the residents of Girton.Royal Visit to Dovehouse Court
